THE PRISONER Dark Elf of Syron Series, Book 1

Prisoner 34 is an enigma. He deigns to be confined in the prison, but there’s no doubt he could easily leave. Narrator A.T. Chandler supports the sense of mystery in this story as he portrays the imprisoned elf in understated steely tones. His overall narration is somber as the warden recognizes that his fate, and that of his family, is tied to the willingness of the prisoner to cooperate. Much of the novella is dialogue. Chandler keeps listeners engaged as various characters approach the prisoner with respect and trepidation or, in the case of the new governor, with a heavy dose of condescension and arrogance.
