THE WHITE HOUSE CONNECTION

Sean Dillon, Blake Johnson and Hannah Bernstein--the team from THE PRESIDENT'S DAUGHTER--return. This time they seek the identities of both a traitor inside the White House and an unlikely assassin, the silver-haired blueblood mother of a British agent killed by Irish terrorists. Dick Hill's narration is low-key and non-intrusive, gaining energy for the novel's action scenes. He creates a wide range of voices for the novel's extensive cast, even for minor characters such as the thugs in the opening action sequence. Most are effective, but a couple of the voices--Blake Johnson's and Jack Barry's in particular--wear out their welcome over the course of the reading.
