This engaging study of modern magic is at once entertaining and informative. Alex Stone does a terrific job with the audio version just as he did with the writing. He takes the listener on an educational odyssey spanning all the subgenres of magic and does so through the eyes of a committed adept and talented wordsmith. His story pacing is spot-on, and he employs a clean and careful narrative voice that transmits all his excitement and passion. Stone’s mildly New York accent adds amplifying color, as much of the action and characters are set in the Big Apple.
