The author, who has worked in the airline industry and reported on it, laments the airlines' decline. As he delivers McGee's words, Gregory Itzin sounds excited—and sarcastic—about complaints relating to lost luggage, intrusive TSAs, excessive fees, and overbooking. He often sounds like an outraged flyer himself. The book can be funny, as when the TSA and the FAA disagreed about flip-flop sandals. It can also be unnerving, as when he tells a mother's story about the dangers of flying with a child in her lap. It's sure to get flyers thinking about their experiences. The only risk is that for some listeners Itzin's entertaining style may dilute the issues that McGee takes on. J.A.S. © AudioFile 2012, Portland, Maine [Published: OCTOBER 2012]
