THE WINGS OF MORNING

by | Read by Amy Kunz

Romantic Fiction • 14.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1993

On the storm-swept Scottish isle of St. Kilda, an outcast lass wins and weds an island hero. After his sudden death and that of her child, Abigail begins a crusade against the primitive and rigid attitudes of the people there. Her story takes us to Victorian London and, later, to another island off Florida. Kunz seems a talented actress with a fine control of various accents who, for some reason whispers and gasps in such a way that the story takes on the proportions of a soap opera. Some of the fault lies in Harper's text. With better direction, Kunz might have forgone the excess and given us a more straightforward "good read."
