TRUST YOUR EYES

This updated take on the classic Hitchcock movie REAR WINDOW is sure to be one of your favorite listens this year. Ray and Thomas Kilbride are brothers brought back together by their father’s death. Ray must assume the care of his brother, whose schizophrenia confines him to his bedroom, where he watches the outside world on the Web page “whirl360.com,” with its extensive high-resolution maps of every street on earth. When Thomas sees what he believes is a murder on one of the static images, Ray, read smoothly by Ken Marks, agrees to look into his findings. The rest of the book is narrated by Rick Holmes, and the two voices provide a perfect balance for this nonstop thriller of political intrigue, murder, and cover-ups. Nearly every chapter ends with a cliff-hanger as Barclay has created rich characters and a roller coaster ride that doesn’t stop until the last paragraph.
