Beautiful American heiress Caroline Maxwell doesn't want to marry any of the titled English lords her social-climbing mother keeps parading in front of her. Lorelei King's considerable acting skills and narrating dexterity are on full display in her presentation of this light romantic story. King's smooth and lovely voice is perfect for the plucky but elegant heroine and transitions seamlessly into the more brusque voice of her snooty mother and the less mature voices of her siblings. She is equally facile with the deeper, more masculine voice of the hero and the sneering voice of the villainous English lord Caroline's mother finally zeros in on.
