EDGE OF BLACK Sam Owens, Book 2

by | Read by Joyce Bean

Mystery & Suspense • 9.75 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2012

A terror attack in a Washington, D.C., metro station sends forensics professor Dr. Samantha Owens scrambling to find answers and culprits. Narrator Joyce Bean does an admirable job with creative voices in this thriller. She gives Sam a slight drawl, and her voices for minor characters--especially those of an elderly doctor with a European accent and a 24-year-old bright but naïve agent--are exceptional. A minor flaw is that there's little distinction between the two main male characters, Sam's boyfriend and Fletcher, her cop friend. But it's not enough to mar the story or narration as Sam races to find the suspect. M.B. © AudioFile 2013, Portland, Maine [Published: MARCH 2013]
