Jennifer Strange was raised by the Blessed Ladies of the Lobster. From them she acquired the Kazam agency, which provides magicians for services now in little demand. Just shy of 16, Jennifer becomes the Last Dragonslayer, and King Snod IV, among others, has reason to believe the last dragon is going to die at her hand. When that happens, the dragon's lands will open for conquest and development. Jennifer's unflappable demeanor drives Elizabeth Jasicki's narration. Jasicki also clearly portrays competing characters with commercial interests to sell dragonslayer paraphernalia and pretentious bureaucrats who are looking for an excuse to give Jennifer trouble.
