THE SECOND SHIP

MacLeod Andrews does a fine job narrating this first part of Phillips's Rho Agenda trilogy. Decades after an alien spaceship appeared in Roswell, New Mexico, three teens are exploring a remote canyon and discover a second capsule. Their lives are changed immediately when the information in the newly discovered capsule is uploaded into their minds. Andrews performs the numerous twists and turns of their adventures at a relaxed pace that allows the listener to take in the numerous scientific details. He adroitly gives just the right inflections to the narration and provides a slightly different, and properly nuanced, voice to each of the many characters.
