Narrator Lorelei King has perfected her craft in this popular series. She adeptly portrays each of the zany characters who inhabit the wacky world of Stephanie Plum, the lovable but less-than-competent New Jersey bounty hunter. People are disappearing from a local hospital, including one on Stephanie's hit list who has embezzled millions from a local retirement home. Fellow bounty hunter Ranger also features in the story when he is caught in the crosshairs of someone from his past and needs Stephanie to act as his bodyguard. All of these events will keep listeners laughing in Stephanie Plum style. King embodies Plum, enfolds the listener in larger-than-life Lula and crazy Grandma Mazur, is spot-on with the sexy and elusive Ranger, and adeptly brings to life the patient, exasperated hunk, Joe Morelli.
