Published in 1988, this out-of-print farce was rereleased in December as an audiobook. Coventry Dakin, a bored English housewife, accidentally kills her abusive neighbor as he attacks his wife. She escapes to London--on the lam from the crime, her boring husband, and her two unappreciative children. Narrator Kate Lock gives the characters of all classes unique voices. Listeners will laugh out loud at Coventry's pretentious self-involvement, her whining husband, and the hypocrisy of the British class system.
