Narrators January LaVoy and Ari Fliakos keep the pace moving through this fifth in a series of novels centered on the Private Detective Agency and its worldwide offices. Both narrators are superb. Fliakos's unsettling rendition of the villain brings the psychotic character to life, and LaVoy's wide range of voices shines as she handles the female protagonist and multiple other characters, male and female. The two narrators' styles combine well with the short chapters and split point of view. For listeners who appreciate Patterson's approach to thrillers, this will be a popular addition.
