Human sexuality professor Myrna Evans, die-hard rock-and-roll fan, meets lead guitarist Brian Sinclair, a hopeless romantic. Sex, love, and rock-and-roll ensue. Justine O. Keef brings an edgy vocal quality to her performance, with a strong delivery that complements the explicitly raw text. Bouts of drunkenness and dissolution alternate with tender moments in rapid succession, and Keef keeps up with alacrity. As she softens her voice to impart vulnerability at the appropriate times, she almost manages to bring the story's two-dimensional characters to life.
