SERPENT'S KISS

by | Read by Gregory Silva

Mystery & Suspense • 8.25 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1999

Decades ago, a mysterious cult ravaged a Midwestern city, and the bones of their victims were buried under the tower of a present-day mental hospital. Narrator Gregory Silva does credible work laying out the details when a TV reporter begins to piece together the details of who will be the next victim of an escaped patient turned serial killer. But Silva's warm and personable tones aren't right for this gritty plot. His tone and pacing seem forced when he inhabits the voice of Dobbins, the unwilling serial killer who is inhabited by the spirit of the cult. Silva and Gorman are also not helped by the quality of the production itself, as audible splices and repetitive background clicks sabotage this grisly supernatural thriller.
