HER: A MEMOIR

As identical twins, Christa and Cara Parravani shared their lives with a bond much closer than most siblings. After Cara's rape and subsequent drug use, the girls grew farther and farther apart until Cara's death. In this memoir Christa writes with candor and honesty about her childhood, Cara's rape, and her own drug use after Cara's death. Parravani's narration has less impact than her writing. She keeps her voice even and dispassionate, dulling a highly emotional story and rendering the rare dialogue particularly lifeless.
