Larry King has a way of growing on you. His manner is not so much ingratiating as gossipy--the style of a gruff, but beloved, uncle. He works hard, talks to many different people, and LISTENS to their answers. The result is this insightful look at the Washington of the 1990s and the rise of an "anything goes" culture in politics and the media. King doesn't profess to know the answers, but he asks the right questions and provides a wealth of asides, anecdotes, and transcripts of on-camera exchanges.
