CONTRACT WITH AN ANGEL

Saved from death by Archangel Michael, Raymond Neenan tries to correct his life before he faces his eternal fate. Using a deep tone of voice, Hill creates the strong, dependable personage of the angel by using precise pronunciation and infusing a sense power and controlled energy. As Neenan, the main character and narrator, Hill uses a generic American voice with a touch of a New York City accent, punctuated with clipped and snappy responses. As Anna Maria, Neenan's wife, Hill softens his tones and adds a lilt to a higher voice. Hill ably emulates all the characters, from the various gentle angels to Neenan's tyrannical father, providing individuality and personality for each one.
