Neil Hamil is an articulate divorce lawyer who uses her wits to solve mysteries. Narrator Meredith Mitchell makes her a memorable character. Written in 1995 but just released on audio, this story features the search for an eccentric millionaire's wife, who has disappeared along with one of his valuable birds. One wonders which is more important to wealthy Terrence Lewellen--his wife or his macaw. Mitchell tells the story with tongue in cheek and portrays the tough, sensible attorney with vigor.
