Learning that her mother is a long-lost Poseidon princess was difficult enough for Emma, a half-human, half-mermaid teenager. Now, as treason and scandal threaten the Syrena realm below the waves, Emma must choose whether to remain with her soul mate, Galen, on land or to risk her life saving a people she's never known in the sea. Gibel beautifully navigates the changing viewpoints and plot twists throughout this story, and her inflections and accents make each character recognizable and memorable.
