Mariah Bolt, CIA analyst and daughter of a late, famous, author, becomes involved in recruiting a Russian double agent and inadvertently becomes embroiled in the real reason her father died. As she seeks answers to her questions, she must dodge secret agents, kidnapping attempts, and threats on her life. Colleen Delany presents plausible characters for this slowly unfolding mystery, keeping the tension while describing the past and the present, as well as the character interactions. While this is not a fast-paced thriller, Delany pushes the pace and keeps the listener interested through her emotional involvement in the narration.
