NO END SAVE VICTORY Perspectives on World War II

by | Read by Leo Burmester

History • 5 hrs. • Anthology • © 2001

These loosely related stories of that appallingly fascinating war, WWII, provide entertaining reading made more enjoyable by a skillful narrator who can readily conform to the styles of a mixture of famous and not-so-famous authors. Although these accounts vary from lofty overviews to personal histories, the voice of the reader himself provides a homogeneity that would not exist in a printed collection of such eclectic essays. Maps or graphics are not needed to understand this audiobook, so the audio presentation is more appropriate and satisfying than that achieved with more detailed war journals in which lots of geography is involved.
