Paul Costanzo has a peppy optimism that works well with this lesson on nonverbal communication. His work may lack some of the off-the-cuff authenticity one hears in Navarro's author-narrated audios, but it's a first-rate performance and a friendly vehicle for delivering this information-packed advice. Navarro says nonverbal intelligence helps us recognize the primitive reactions we have not just to body language but to everything we see, hear, and feel when interacting with people or companies. Deftly balancing theory and practice and supporting his insights with nifty examples, he shows how to be more sensitive to people's unspoken expectations and feelings, and how to configure our body language, appearance, and workplace so that we communicate the ideal message for the particular interaction we're navigating.
