Narrator Talmadge Ragan keeps the listener engaged as P.I. Alex Lovell searches for a client who has suddenly vanished. Ragan portrays the high-energy female detective with a soothing yet self-possessed voice. Alex sounds professional and knowledgeable about the detective business but also tough, edgy, or sultry when interacting with the men involved in her investigation. As the stalked victim, Ragan's quick, breathless voice adds to the suspense.
