THE FERGUSON RIFLE

Ronan Chantry, raised in the wilderness during the Revolutionary War and educated in Boston, is seeking to forget the death of his wife and child by traveling around the unexplored lands west of the Mississippi in the early 1800s. Armed with a Ferguson rifle, he comes across a group of fur trappers as they rescue Irish-born Lucinda Falvey, who is searching for the lost gold of Montezuma. They all decide to join forces in the quest. Brian James's fluid performance is punctuated by encounters with various Indian tribes, Mexican lawmen, and gunfights. Narrating in a steady, soft voice, he transitions smoothly from Scots and Irish brogues to Boston and Spanish accents.
