TRAINS AND LOVERS

by | Read by Robert Ian Mackenzie

Fiction • 5.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2012

Four strangers, three men and a woman, are seated together as they travel on a train from Edinburgh to London. Hugh is English, Andrew is Scottish, David is American, and Kay is Australian. As the individuals exchange their stories, Robert Ian MacKenzie's voice is rich, delightful, and droll. His pacing matches the reflectiveness of the characters and Smith's philosophical musings. However, MacKenzie is less adept with the different accents required, so it's easy to forget that two of the characters hail from countries other than Britain.
