Karen White reads CHERRY, which continues the memoir that began with THE LIAR’S CLUB. This book is a reminder that the so-called good old high school years can be a time of great turmoil and temptation. White adopts an assertive, no-nonsense persona that still shows signs of vulnerability and bravado. She is convincing as a teenager confronting hard questions and not always showing the best judgment in making choices.
