Narrator Cecil Baldwin's serious tones match Bane's regal personality and his dismay upon learning how much has changed in the time he was away. A once great love has become a drug addict who leads her fellow vampires on a reckless rampage. Baldwin clearly conveys Bane's disgust upon having to intercede with the werewolves on her behalf. Though a short, sad episode, fans of the charismatic warlock from Clare's Mortal Instruments series will find this foray into Bane's past intriguing.
