Originally written in 2004, this re-released audiobook is a series of vignettes from the life of actress Karrie Kline. With caustic humor, the author reads her rambling story of Karrie’s search for a mate. Each chapter recounts disastrous dating adventures performed in Graff’s sharp tones, beginning with Kline’s first dates in 1988 and continuing through 15 years of guys, Jewish and not. Graff’s fluid phrasing is reminiscent of a live performance on stage. Dating in Manhattan is fraught with stress and frogs, success and princes. Graff’s scratchy voice creates humorous stereotypes of New Yorkers in general and Jewish women in particular as they search for the perfect frog.
