HONEYMOON IN PARIS

Two disappointed brides, Sophie and Liv, separated by generations, learn the ropes of how to be married to men who are challenged to put their wives first. The dual narrators, Clare Corbett and Penny Rawlins, are adept with accents and expertly convey mood through tone. The novella, a prequel to THE GIRL YOU LEFT BEHIND, takes place entirely in Paris and transports the listener seamlessly to time and place. The connection between the story lines is Edouard Lefevres, Sophie’s husband, who paints a portrait that looks like Liv. She discovers the painting in a Paris museum as she struggles with marital challenges that are similar to the struggles of Edouard and Sophie generations earlier.
