The Warrens are the nation's most well-known experts on demonology and exorcism. It would be easy to dramatize this production with over-the-top tones, distorted voices, and eerie sound effects. But this production's horror seeps through in the serious tone used by Todd Haberkorn. Through interviews with the Warrens and the victims of demons as well as further research, Brittle provides an investigative account of the paranormal that doesn't overindulge in the speculative but doesn't disqualify the unexplainable events that have filled the Warrens' lives. Haberkorn reinforces the genuineness of Brittle's words. His voices for Ed and Lorraine are distinguishable, which is important given how much they're quoted throughout; however, he keeps to fairly generic male and female voices for the rest of the people quoted.
