CITYSIDE

A New York investigative reporter grows too involved with the dying boy and his pretty, uninsured Puerto Rican mother, whose story he's covering. Can he continue to exploit them for his editor's purposes? That's the question asked in this conventional--albeit urban--morality tale, which contains convincing detail about the cynicism, opportunism, and hypocrisy of tabloid journalism. Narrator L.J.
