HEART OF A HEROINE

New Dimensions Radio co-founder Michael Toms conducts a thoughtful, compelling interview with environmental activist Julia Butterfly Hill. Using his rich, deep, and compassionate voice, Toms coaxes Hill to detail her two-year experience of living in Luna, a giant redwood she ultimately saved from the ax. Although this interview could be stereotyped as "New Age," the story and its heroine are amazing. Hill recounts with humor and strength of character how she first found herself in the tree and how the activist spirit came to life within her. Toms assists in bringing out Hill's philosophies of life, nature, and the human spirit, packing big meaning into this small production.
