LOVING ME

Warbling birds, accompanied by soft piano music, set the mood and add drama to the story of Beth McGregor, who is fleeing from the torment of an abusive husband. Add a rugged and handsome shipping magnate accused of murder, and a love story soon evolves. The setting is a small village in Nova Scotia; the author's style includes many long, descriptive sentences, similar to those of an introspective novel. Morgan Reinhardt's reading is well enunciated and crisp, but her voice is that of a bright 8-year-old. The childlike quality detracts from the story, particularly the romantic scenes.
