WHAT'S WORTH LEARNING

by | Read by Diane Havens

Contemporary Culture • 6.25 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2010

Diane Havens's has a strong, clear voice presents Brady's arguments about education with interest and passion. Brady is a prominent and well-informed commentator on education in the U.S. This, however, is not a general book about problems and solutions in education. Despite some general commentary at the beginning and the end, most of the audiobook is devoted to a careful, and compelling, explication of "The Model": Brady's plan for restructuring curriculum to provide a more integrated and accessible structure for learning at every level. Her air of world-weary dissent from the educational mainstream, although appropriate, can be a little tiresome. For those specifically interested in curricular reform, this is an engaging and provocative audiobook. F.C. © AudioFile 2014, Portland, Maine [Published: FEBRUARY 2014]
