THE MURDER OF JESUS

MacArthur, a well-known evangelical pastor, author, and speaker, here distills and synthesizes the various Gospel accounts of the betrayal, trial, and execution of Jesus. Accepting the Gospel accounts as, well, gospel, MacArthur presents a well-written argument, although his constant references to the sublime evil of Jesus's murder may annoy some. This is a work meant to appeal more to the mind than the emotions, and Chris Ruleman's reading of this abridgment conveys this quality.
