Narrator Keith Nobbs depicts the adventure of the children's race to follow clues and safeguard the school while evading janitors Wally and Lyman, who are spying for the competition. Nobbs transitions Wally's voice from quietly dangerous to blatantly mad to match the character's volatile nature. The narrative takes on an appropriately solemn and respectful tone when centuries-old secrets are revealed. As the demolition draws near, the kids recruit more Keepers, students, faculty, and parents, all of whom Nobbs portrays beautifully for a well-rounded audio experience.
