Although the cover of this audiobook shows ships under steam in a harbor, the theme is not nautical. The title refers to the young heroine whose dilemma in dealing with a strict Jewish upbringing is compounded by the offerings of the post-war world. As narrator, Judy Bennett guides us through the politics, religious dogma, and sexual mores of '60's Liverpool.
