MY OWN MR. DARCY

Heidi Baker's deft narration will be a sweet treat for anyone who's ever dreamed of starring in a personal version of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. After seeing the movie at age 16, Elizabeth Barret fell in love and decided to settle for nothing less than her own Mr. Darcy. At 22, she finally meets him in Matthew Dawson, a customer at her bank. Baker perfectly conveys the idealistic Elizabeth; her more down-to-earth best friend, Janessa; haughty Matt; and adorable, understanding Chad. Listeners will be moved as Elizabeth slowly comes to question her lifelong dream as reality clashes with her romantic imaginings.
