Bloom explores the numerous dynamics and failures of the justice system in the Trayvon Martin case while also providing a contextual analysis of institutional racism in American culture. As narrator, she provides a clear and commanding narration in a slightly raspy voice that grabs the listener's attention. Her tone is emphatic throughout, and she teases out complex legal issues in a deliberate style that makes clear what's at stake. However, her delivery is off-putting when she uses a sarcastic and condescending tone during some of the courtroom analysis, particularly when describing various cross-examinations or opportunities she believes were missed by the prosecution.
