FILE UNDER: 13 SUSPICIOUS INCIDENTS

This series of mysterious vignettes, with solutions withheld, allows sleuthing listeners to compare their own hypothesized endings to those revealed at the very end of the production. Each incident appears unrelated to the others, an aspect reinforced by the use of multiple narrators, men and women who deliver American, Australian, and English accents to voice Snicket and the inhabitants of Stain'd-by-the-Sea. The ensemble of narrators is composed of people who are talented and suspicious indeed—they include the crème de la crème of NPR and YA/children’s literature. The production ends with the conclusion to each mystery read by its respective Snicket. Listeners will all have their own personal favorites.
