Who says Christians don't have tempers or a sense of humor? Ex-Homicide Detective Gil Beckman has both, and both receive a workout as he tries to find out what happened to a pregnant girl murdered a decade ago, a missing employee, and a pile of gold bullion stolen from his employer's safe. L.J. Ganser dives into the story with enthusiasm and appreciation for the humor, danger, and personal challenge inherent in the plot. Without a trace of condescension or false piety, he presents the author's look at modern issues from a Christian perspective. Ganser has us laughing one minute and pausing for reflection the next.
