WHAT LOOKS LIKE CRAZY ON AN ORDINARY DAY...

by | Read by Tracey Leigh

Fiction • 8 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1997

When life gets too hard, Ava Johnson leaves Atlanta for a summer in her hometown with her widowed sister. What greets her there is not the quiet, uncomplicated life she expected to find on her way to somewhere else. Tracey Leigh narrates this book as if she were telling her own story. Full of passion and verve, her characters ring true. However, her use of a lower register for male characters is undercut by a muddy quality that sounds artificial. Nonetheless, this slight annoyance doesn't detract much, and many tape players may be able to compensate. J.E.M. © AudioFile 2001, Portland, Maine [Published: OCT/ NOV 01]
