BRAVE LITTLE RED AND OTHER TALES

Lu Ann Adams has a vision of peace, courage, and happiness for the twenty-first century. Each tale she tells, whether traditional or original, echoes these themes. Can the emperor find peace and happiness in a single pearl? In the frozen North, what gives Akapina the bravery to go home to her family? Why do people fight with each other? What might happen if one listened to a worm? This recording has the ambiance of an intimate storytelling session. Adams introduces each story and poses a question to engage the listener. She then proceeds with great energy--a fanciful version of "Little Red Riding Hood" in rap is told with particular verve. Adams also uses her voice for well-placed sound effects.
