CAEDMON 1952-1992 An Anthology

by | Read by Several Authors and readers

Contemporary Culture • 2 hrs. • Anthology • ©

This collection is a series of short excerpts from the archives of Caedmon, a pioneering company in spoken word audio. These remarkable selections were originally released on LP records. The voices of different writers and actors, including e.e. cummings, Will Rogers, C.S. Lewis, Joyce Carol Oates, lend a great deal to this anthology of prose and poetry. However, problems occur in the re-mastered production and the packaging. The introduction of the pieces and the readers is confusing. Poorly labeled packaging compounds the problem. The amount of material included, two hours on two cassettes, falls short as a substantial production. M.V. ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: JULY 92]
