CRYING OUT LOUD

P.I. Sal Kilkenny is a tough yet kindhearted woman whose full life becomes even busier when she finds a baby on her doorstep and takes on a complicated murder investigation. Narrator Julia Franklin deftly captures each storyline. A pathetic jailhouse interview and the painful search for the mother of the precious baby are equally moving. In addition to creating an endearing Sal, Franklin skillfully portrays whiny kids, wronged women, and a murderous mother who does the unthinkable to her own son.
