Thea Kronborg is musically gifted. In 1890s Moonstone, Colorado, Thea lives among people who don't understand her gifts. This is the story of a female artist's lifelong quest to find herself. We follow her through her very young years to her mature self. Barbara Caruso offers a matter-of-fact delivery of the narrator's descriptions and explanations and creates credible exchanges between the characters. By slightly changing tone, Caruso reflects the undercurrents running through relationships. Her vocal portraits allow listeners to keep the large cast of characters straight, from Thea's music teacher to Spanish Johnny, a mandolin player.
