Gifted narrator Nick Landrum affects a "bored teenager" tone at times in creating the weird, wonderful supernatural universe explored by Leslie in this intriguing adventure. Landrum chooses just the right pace and places emphasis in the way of young adults. He takes long pauses to evoke the languid nature of the story, picking up the pace as more dramatic scenes demand.
