Moggach's romantic comedy is filled with plenty of characters--fitting all the definitions that word conjures up. When Buffy, a London-weary actor, inherits a run-down bed and breakfast in Wales from an old friend, he decides a change of scene and career might be just the boost his life needs. Nicky Henson narrates the story with a dry, detached delivery that keeps the listener at arm's length. He does little to breathe life into the various characters as the large cast moves in and out of the story. Henson's delivery is smooth and consistent, but he uses none the narrator's tricks to aid the listener in getting to know and care about the characters.
