KINDRED SPIRITS

When Allen Schoen received his veterinary license over twenty years ago, he knew in his heart that animals and people could embrace each another and exchange emotions. This belief has vaulted Schoen's reputation as a celebrated vet to worldwide recognition and prompted the international movement of animal therapy: the use of animals to help humans cope with trauma, depression, and disease.
